Negotiations are ongoing between Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) countries and China to reach a free trade agreement, an official of the Federation of the GCC Chambers (FGCC Chambers) said. Speaking to Gulf Times on the sidelines of a press conference a Qatar Chamber yesterday, FGCC Chambers secretary-general Abdulrahim Hasan Naqi said due to the "positive response from both sides," a free trade agreement could be signed either this year or in 2017.
